Back while building our home and I was designing many of these pieces for the collection, I saw all these painters drop cloths in our home covered in various colors and textures from years of painting. It got me thinking about how something like that could be reused. Fast forward to now and you see our Utility Market Tote that we created with A Well Worn Story to be a unique and functional way to tote around anything from a day at the market to heading to a dinner party or even to just use while traveling. This bag holds more then you could imagine and each is completely unique with its own story of splatters on it.
Made from reclaimed paint-splattered canvas drop clothes found across the Midwest. The bag is full lined in cotton canvas and features one roomy inside pocket for phone and keys. Long leather handles made from natural vegetable tanned leather allow the bag to be worn comfortably on the shoulder.
This item was handmade by Morgann McCoy of A Well Worn Story based in Madison, Wisconsin. You can read more about Morgann's work on our Makers page.
Materials: Reclaimed drop cloth, natural cotton canvas webbing, antique brass rivets, natural vegetable tanned leather (will get darker with age over time with use and exposure to sunlight)
